oztooltalk take a look at some weird and wonderful tools from Bosch Professional, the 12V planer and router.
These bite-sized tools sport completely new forms that will be unfamiliar to many woodworkers, and we think the engineering behind them is pretty fantastic. Both tools employ a brushless motor.
The GKF 12V-8 trim router runs at a lowly 13,000 RPM and weighs only 1.1 kg without a battery. It features are as follows:
– Large base with offset collet allowing great stability
– Spindle lock for single spanner bit changes
– Form fitting handle for great control and comfort with one-hand use or two
– Easy to use macro and micro depth adjustment
– Suits 6 / 8 mm router bits (1/4″ as standard)
The GHO 12V-20 planer runs at 14,500 RPM with a weight of 1.5 kg excluding battery. It utilises a single 56 mm blade (most full-size planers use two 82 mm blades). It has a surprisingly large depth capacity of 2.0 mm and a 17 mm rebating depth.
