If you love tools, as you do and i do i think you will keep both. There is always a place and time for any tool.

A great example is i have screwdrivers for every day use that live in my chest but i have a hard case TT set that i use for nothing but electrical work. 8-)

Never even considered the whole oiling of electric garden tools, Not that its really relevant but I found this in my research I wonder what makes it different.

Right off the bat, iv never used electric so i can't touch on that note personally. When i was doing yard maintenance full time all my stuff was STIHL since i was using it all day i didn't have to worry about charging anything each vehicle carried fuel mixed and not so if a piece of equipment failed...

when I drive around and realise how low I am, I think "Hmmm.... I wouldn't want to get hit by a ute, or a 4WD". Hi Dwain, You know it is still doing the job to an extent, the batteries don't last a long as they use to i remember never having to charge them as i charge them in series since ill drain one then charge it and use the other then put the charged one back with its terminal cover back into the case.
